    I wouldn't assume that everything is related to paranoia and mental health issues. There is a lot going on here and Brian is concerned with all of it. Slow, quiet songs are the easiest to play and often the easiest to screw up, because you can hear every mistake. He's worried about the harmonies being perfect, He's wants the chord changes timed perfectly, with the guitarists. He's worried about the girls throwing everyone off key. He's worried if the screaming will mess up the sound recording
