It's funny how people that don't know the g wagon are prompt to discredit the vehicle. Any mistreated vehicle would fail a task like this. I have a g wagen and I have rescued lots of toyotas/fords/jeeps and I have never needed help. The G is one of the toughest vehicles. FYI to all those claiming that a landcruiser is better. I hope you see the one burned down in the video.

Get a Landcruiser.. it's MADE for the outback..

mercedes G , wonder what G stands for, Garbage?
-
Mitsubishi Pajero (stronger & better)

@robertmndt7 You're right. They would have bent their FRAMES. Do some research...
-
@rateb811 it would be easy even in a '41 willys
-
@rogerpemberton Im sorry, but i guess the raptor would NOT have broken its suspension on these 3" bumps.
-
I don't get what this idiot is doing there on these standard small (!) road tires. And without deflating them it's no wonder the suspension broke. I have never been anywhere near off road but omg what an amateur.
-
My LC will do this track without any problem, poor G.
-
@tirthb but make sure it has a reinforced frame...............G-Class will always beat a raptor in anything but a flat out race on flat land.
Top Gear would do this in some POS SUV they bought for 2000 Pounds

Those W463s were 1) overloaded 2) driven too fast 3) equipped with optional 18 inch street rims and small street tires (small air volume). As You can see there were two other military spec W461s (one of them was a pickup with 4300 Kg GW) which made the journey without any problems.
