The Beat. Stand Down Margaret. Released in 1980 when the economy was gripped by a recession, the song calls for then PM Margaret Thatcher to stand down. See any similarities? I didnt catch it on video but Rankin Roger even went on to chant "stand down Gordon". Roger was joined onstage by his son Rankin Junior, or Mini Murphy.

This was recorded at Wychwood Festival in 2009 which is held annually at Cheltenham Racecourse, Gloucestershire. Check out our channel to see more videos from Wychwood...
