its a tail dragger the forwardwheels touch first then the tail drops, in this case with a big bang

if i was given a choice between flying in a MD80 or a dc3, man i would take the 'ol dc3 anyday. not only is it cool, but i know it would get to my destination safely in the world most PROVEN airplane. no airplane has ever been like the dc3. its unique and goes down in history as on one best. has also set records for highest airframe time many times over.
