I agree with the other comments. I lived in Memphis 6 years and first of all, Beale Street (so far at least) is still the real deal. Not Disneyed up for clean consumption. One night you'll go and see women dancing with winos and the street is puke and beer. Other nights it's magical and the music takes you away. Richard is the most authentic thing that remains. This is a viseral sound with deep deep roots in the local area. It doesn't get any more real than this.
I can't wait for him to start playing again. He's a shiner, draws em in real well. This is the country hill blues specifically and he has to fight to continue to play on Beale, despite being the most talented, inside a club or out.
i used to live in memphis and will be moving back in a few months.. cant wait... I use to make trips up to Beale just to listen to him... if you love live music memphis is the only place to be... a must see artist
Still remember the first time I saw Richard on Beale St. & I fell in lov with his music. He is so amazing. Buy his CD! If you see him live it sounds even better!
amazing talent...

I'd like to know how to get in contact with Richard regarding some gigs we had discussed. Any help would be appreciated.
