If a Wolfhound got angry you wouldn't be calling it a pussy hound. These things to used to take down deer and wolves as well as men on horse back. The Irish used the dog to take down English knights, so respect where respects due.

Born and breed to chase, catch and take down wolves, Irish Wolfhounds are not genetically robust and so don't live very long. Most are lucky to see seven years old.

frances 734 so true heaven help anyone carrying the football when Beouwulf was playing ,,a gentle giant ,fantastic dogs quiet too, not a yapper or barker I remember seeing one on the River of Lieth walk in Edinburgh,mine was 48 1/2'' at the shoulder and 178 pounds when he was 11 months old ,this one in Scotland I saw DWARFED my wolfhound ENORMOUS!!!!

No That was taken on the grounds of Cabra Castle. Oscar th wolfhound roams the grounds there. Thats the front entrance door off the parking lot
