  • Thank you. Now I have a better knowledge of how to use mine. What martial art are you doing by the way?

  • No problem. I am doing a competition style sai that I have developed, but is based from okinawan sai (or kobudo). My style is based from the traditional teachings, but with a modern, dynamic surge of energy that must be present in today's circuit in order to win competitions.

  • I have a pair of Sai's. Thanks for the video. Now I know how to train with them, because I don't have time to take lessons at a dojo. You get 5 stars for sure.

  • No I have not. I would love some though...anyone? I would proudly display them in an instructional DVD?....I am sure they are amazing, especially being made in Okinawa, the general origin of sai.

  • yes, kata now is very hard to win with. i'm not very good yet, and i'm still not a great competitor, but i do that taking a more modern spin to traditional technique adds a nice flare.

the energy needed is great too, as well as the precision, especially in black belt divisions.

nice vids, i really like them. they help a lot.
