*NOTE*: The game runs twice as fast when I'm not recording with FRAPS. Expect a much better framerate during normal gameplay.
The game runs pretty well (avg. fps of 15-45) except on a couple of the American stages ("Wolverines!" is the slowest). Also, this is at the *lowest* settings with some config tweaks to enhance performance a little. I'm running the game with all special effects off, textures on low, and resolution at 640x480 (with widescreen). I can put the textures to "Automatic" (which is High, I think) without any noticeable fps drops (if any). This game is short, but pretty fun. :)

Specs:
Laptop: Dell Inspiron 1545
OS: Windows Vista x64
Processor: Intel Core 2 Duo 2.1Ghz
Memory: 4GB RAM
Video: Intel x4500mhd (integrated video card w/ shared mem.)

**This video is for informational purposes only. I am only showing how well this game can run on laptops/lower-end computers for people who are planning on buying the PC version.

  • So could i play dead space out of the box? Oh and thank you for that last answer. =D

  • @s8terkidd432 What do you mean by "out of the box". I told you that I wouldn't recommend playing Dead Space on this laptop.

  • Do you think i can play dead space on this?

  • @s8terkidd432 I've tried Dead Space 1 and 2 on this laptop. They can both run (I got about halfway through both), but some parts of the games are too choppy to be playable. The mouse lag is bad too when the frame rate is low.

So yes, you can play them, but I wouldn't recommend it.

  • I just got CRYSIS for Christmas but plays at 1 Frame per second!!! :P

    What should i do??

  • @FreshWheniFlirt

Set it to DirectX 9 mode: Make a shortcut to Crysis on the desktop if there is not one already. Then right-click it and go to properties. Add -dx9 to the Target line (Example: "C:\Programs\Crysis\crysis.exe" -dx9). Then set everything to Low. That might help a little.
