The "Spot The Pigeon" EP was Genesis last studio release with their amazing guitar player Steve Hackett. Soon after, they became superstars. The 3 songs on "Spot The Pigeon" were leftovers from their classic "Wind & Wuthering" LP.

The filming of this video can be summed up as "extension cord management". I filmed this on father's day 2011 with my darling little angel fairies (who can be seen in other TheDailyVinyl videos). They "helped" me keep the cords from getting stuck around corners and such.

If you dig what I'm doing here, I hope you'll check out other videos on the channel, share with your friends, and visit www.TheDailyVinyl.com to see some more videos not allowed on YouTube. • how much is a record player as such? Do they work with the red and white AC's on my tuner? I would really love to start collecting records for nothing more than I love music from that time period and it would be a fun hobby. I live close enough to NYC/Boston - East Coast Metros to have access to stores. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

  • @pcburgh01 I think I paid $175 for this turntable 15 years ago. Its so fun collecting vinyl. It's nice to have something tangible. I mean, sure, I love my iPod and my iTunes collection has nearly 140 days worth of non-stop music, but to hold that record in your hand is MAGICAL! Good luck, and let me know how it goes. I'm sure there are mad record stores in NYC & Boston!

  • Great video, great song - The bass in this is beautiful

  • @Eldomina22 Thanks for commenting. Mike Rutherford is an underrated bass player. (I love what he does on "No Reply At All")

  • you know i've never heard a record in real life!!!

  • @MoonStruck95 Part of the reason I even began doing this goofy project was for those that never had or no longer had a record player. I really wanted to try & capture the EXPERIENCE of listening to music on vinyl. Thank you for posting. Please enjoy my other vinyl videos.
