This is a republishment of my previous video, that was flagged for copyright violation. I apologize to Crazy Frog for my usage of "Axel F" without proper credit being given. The new song in the intro is "Drown" by Three Days Grace. The video remains the same. This video is about OCD, also known as obsessive-compulsive disorder. Discussing the basic signs and symptoms of the disorder, as well as a few treatment options. I have known a few people with OCD and i can say that it can indeed be very crippling. If you have any questions or comments then please either leave them on the video, or send me a private message if you dont want to say/ask publicly. Thanks, and enjoy!

  • why the fuck do u talk about all these illnesses if u have never experienced them yourself? a book doesn't teach you everything about it - u need to experience it urself douchebag

  • @Ganjateer88 First of all, don't try to insult me...it's moot and pointless...I'm immune to insults, particularly over the Internet, where they're only fielded by the incompetent. As to your comment...you'll be hard pressed to find a professional psychologist who has experienced every single mental disorder there is...none in fact...because they would be in mental insitution for obvious reasons. Every case is unique, the books give a general guideline. Please think before shooting your mouth off

  • Normal? Unfortunately, it is. In this case, strive for the abnormal. Regardless of how sure you are that you have OCD, you still need to see a professional and get an offical diagnosis. From your description, you're having to resort to self-destructive means of control and relief. I would advise that you see a professional if you can and in the meantime, try to very slowly 'wean' yourself from your routines and compulsions. :]

  • I personally really like your videos! And I have OCD. Dermatillomania, to be exact =( For the first three years, I actually didn't know I had it because I had never heard of it. Anyway, I think you're going to be a great psychologist :) Greetings from Germany!

PS: Pls make another video? ;)

  • I could see if you already had a degree and were working with several OCD patients, but that's not the case. You're just some dumb teen trying to sound smart online while reporting about a serious illness which he has no first hand experience himself. But yeah, your incompetent information is doing OCD patients a great deal of good...

  • @Bloodbath1234567 Many psychologists are trained to help in a specific field there smart one..Why do you think therapy as a whole is generally unsuccessful and ''moot'' - because we got assholes like you who have no general knowledge of the disorder besides material you read in a book. Your narcissistic attitude towards the importance of people's recovery is very ironic seeing to as you would like to become a pscyhologist.

  • What rituals would someone who has violent thoughts perform?

  • Would love to have a conversation with you at some point. I am looking for unbiased (even if anecdotal, then so be it). You seem intellectual and passionate for the study of human behavior. Let me know if ever you have time.

  • can u do a vid on body dysmorphia! i'm pretty certain hav it

  • i'm not depressed but l know i have ocd. i've not been diagnosed. but i don't need to be. the ocd i can bare just about but i drink at night to give me a few hours of time off. is this normal?
