Mr. Science and Kevin test some 2-liter-bottle saltwater capacitors at the lab.
Lots of different clips thrown together.

First clips of of a cap hooked up to a 15kv neon sign transformer.
Pole pig jacobs ladder.
Pole pig powered cap tests.

We had a light bulb across the two input terminals of the pole pig, so that's the light that can be seen on the pig. We also had a jacobs ladder setup on the pig.

  • omg! That so large pole pig drops me in the shock! . Where did you get it?

  • @HedgehogTH A Friend of mine found it abandoned. It had a broken hv switch and had leaked some oil. He managed to get it onto his truck and transport is by himself.

  • @BTTF07KD How many KVa rated this monster? I think it is possible to build big Tesla Coil!

  • @HedgehogTH The plate on it says 75kVA but because of the facilities where it is located, we probably won't be able to run it at more than 12kVA. But that's more than enough for us right now!
