55 gallon drum are handy if you have the room for them. They offer the advantages of bulk storage of items in a secure canister that is more resistant to environmental factors than 5 or 6 gallon pails. They also offer the ability to store ammo in a water tight container without the need of unpacking it from its case. Going into hurricane season there are a lot of perishable goods (ex. toilet paper ect ) that can be stored and secured without the worry of damage from minor flooding & ect.
Local suppliers of barrels are your best bet given the cost of shipping. There are always some extras around a food prep plant that they may be willing to part with for little to no money.
Thanks for watching and have a good one.
is the hole in the middle called a " bunghole " ?
