comparing Marines and Army is like compairing a boat to a car. They both have there purpose and do what they need done. This is America we know what the hell were doing.

in regards to all the idiots rivaling between the Army and Marine Corps: I work with veterans who've served in the four major branches; most of them either Army and Marines and they all get along, goof off together and talk about life in the service. How about you lace up a pair of boots, grab a rifle and do something? Oh, wait! You're a pussy! My team is the US Military.

Most of these idiots doing this Army vs Marine shit are not even enlisted. I've seen Soldiers, Marines, Sailors and Air-men hanging out together and getting along. Why? Cause they're the real deal when it comes to defending our Country

A Marine grunt will serve usually 5-6 months in combat zones. His Army counterpart will serve usually 12-15 months. I love all the branches, and have several Marine friends. But theres an old saying that I learned from an old paratrooper.
"The Air Force gets the pay checks, the Navy gets food galore, the Marines get all the pictures, while the Army fights the war."
Now, that just goes to say that, no one is better, but the Army in every war, has done most of the heavy lifting.
