  • This has got to be the most interesting Car and Driver combo. A Winning Chinese in an Iconic American car! I think Charles would carry the responsibility of bringing the Corvette into Asian Markets or the Import Tuning Scene if he got more chances to showcase his talents.

  • Some of the turns remind me of our local track, you take them way faster,,,,great win for you and of course the vette!!!!!

  • awesome vid. i wish i could see the shiftstick, but its ok.

  • any information about the honda's spec? Type R or Turbo'ed. Roll case fully welded to the chassis? all spherical links he can find at the under-carriage? I am not surprised by the potential of FD2/K20A combo. It is the fastest and best handling front driven chassis you can find and a lot of FWD events are converting to such combination and getting rid of their DC5/K20A. And considering DC5 is not even that old, Hong Kong's event event rank it as a retired chassis!

  • What a way to man handle that vette around the track, great driving.

  • That's amazing Charles !!!

Thanks for teaching me how to drive last time in the yellow RX-8 :)

I just been to Button willow first time last Sunday, it was fun !!

Probably need your help to improve tho T__T

running 2:15 only ....~"~ so slow

  • charles in charge!!

  • That's great...until you realize a Honda Civic at the same event did a 1:55xx!! Good job though.

  • great driving !!!!!

  • My fault. I set the camera up right before the run and didn't get a chance to check it's replay. Sorry!

  • I didn't know you can cut the left hander after the "bus stop" like that. Seems faster!

And it seems that the Vette is very good to drive at Buttonwillow without having to change gears too many times!

Good job in the Vette Charles! Pretty impressive results with only a few laps of practice in the car! I am sure you can cut a couple seconds with more seat time!

  • Great effort. Congrats!

A suggestion: Lower the camera or remove the mirror for time trials. It was very frustrating to watch the vid. That mirror was right in the way.

    Again, congratulations.
