Bensalem Gun Buyback

Despite police harassment the champions of liberty saved many guns from destruction at the Bensalem, PA gun buyback. This happened on February 16, 2013 in Bucks County near Philadelphia.

Okay, well the cop was ticked. I guess I understand that.

At least he kept his cool for the most part.

As far as cops go, that could have gone SOOOOOOOOOOO much worse.

At least they didn't run y'all in. So, I have to give some credit to the Bensalem PD.

Of course they could have been worse, that doesn't excuse what they did. They used intimidation & lied about the law to harass us. To hell with them!

....continued, there may be an opportunity here to actually get the cops on YOUR side. Cops all over the country are waking up and supporting the 2a. After a bit of research, it appears that Bensalem PD jump on any grant or program that gets them some money or equipment. They were given this money from somewhere. State, Federal, IDK.... Just like the DUI checkpoints. I'M NOT SAYING IT'S RIGHT!! But more than likely, some bureaucrat somewhere is shoving this down the PDs throat. Continued

It is easy for the cops to say they support gun rights when they know most people support them, the cops. If more people thought like me they'd become gun grabbers real quick. This is how it went in the UK 100 years ago. Don't trust them, they will turn on you.

BTW. Is there anywhere to shoot in Bensalem? I searched and all I get is links from some troll with a boat about sky-rat pigeons. We shop at Johnston's, and I shoot bow at B&A archery, but we need a good rifle/shotgun range.

How are the cops usually? Are they decent or are they roid-rage control freaks?

No, you're looking at the govt & PD through rose colored glasses. These scumbags knew they couldn't just shut us down so they did what they could get away with. Any other view is the usual Stockholm Syndrome people get about the govt.

Right. It's HIS problem concerning exposing his occupation and loose anonymity or retaliation from past bust. Still, why be the cause of aggravation? I would simply stand across the street, hold up my sign and pay twice the amount they do. I would get the best of both worlds and possibly the best gun 100 bucks could EVER buy. Keep picking on a dog and sooner or later you will get bit. Do it peacefully and respectfully. Think about it. Who wins at the end of the day?

I know what you mean about these programs. I have a "thing" about calling them 'buy-backs". That really irritates me. It's not a buy-back no matter what Disney name liberal hippies put on it. They never owned them to begin with so it can't be a buy back.  It's a compensated confiscation. Or at least a "buy out."

I know that's the common name for them these days, but "buy out" implies that government has or had ownership. Which they don't.

Government entitled elitism. Makes me sick.

Absolutely will do that. I don't know these cops, and I wasn't there. So that was just my perspective from watching the video. It's just that anytime you can get anyone on board with constitutional rights it's a good day. Having the cops support citizens and their rights would be best. I'm not defending what the guy said or did. I mean, yea, he clearly needs some social skills. I am just shocked that they let you do your thing. Even after he said y'all didn't have a permit. So some credit, no? I'm not making excuses, but he was probably intimidated by the camera. His boss coulda been breathing down his neck too. I don't know... But from my life experiences, this actually looked like a "good" thing. He was willing to work with you. Continued....
