Literally that day seeing "zen and the art of fridge gardening" and considering it possibly fake, i found the same thing in my fridge. Very serendipidous, and quite weird too!

  • Congratulations! And a lovely effort if I may say so! I see I have a likely rival in the 'Zen Cabbage' section at the next C.W.A. show! This is what Zen practice can do for you! Everyone should grow at least one Zen cabbage in their fridge in a lifetime! But it has to happen unknowingly! Total carelessness is the key to successful Zen cabbage growing and preferably also by using the purple variety specimen. I wonder how many other budding Zen cabbages are sprouting in the world's fridges?????

  • I was really so amazed at the timing of seeing your vid and then finding my cabbage. the flowers are so beautiful, like an iris or orchid, very lovely. i still have mine in the fridge growing! i would love to know about other fridge gardening options!

  • Hi again,

I've taken down the original video & put up a slightly altered version for reasons mentioned on the info. (You get a plug there too!) There is also a new video of the cabbage having taken root and flowering & seeding in the pot.

Hope you like it! Hope your birds are all surviving summer's excesses!
