This song is about my grandmother Mandy Venable. Leland and I grew up in Success, Missouri together. When my granny passed away Leland wanted to sing this song at her funeral but couldn't because of the strong emotions he had for my granny. She was like his granny too. Leland give me one of the first copies of the original song. I still cry when I hear this song. I was Leland's first drummer. Should have stayed with him. Boy what was I thinking. It least we still stay in contact.
