Pink Floyd - Dark Side of Twister (more impressive than OZ)

Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon is great dubbed over the Wizard of Oz. Dubbed over Twister, the album works just as well.

Based on the idea that Twister has a Wizard of Oz theme, I figured maybe the editors of Twister got wise and made the film work with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon. As it turns out, they did. The tag line on the VHS is "The Dark Side of Nature." I personally think the album works better dubbed over Twister than it does over The Wizard of Oz, probably because it was intentional.

Listen to the lyrics, they match extremely well with the narrative of this first scene into the second and third. Notice the words:
Breathe in the air
Dig a hole
Forget the sun
Don't sit down
Can you find more?

Plus, the music gives the film a great ominous feel.

2:22 is great music for that glimpse of the dog she gets, very cool moment and great find

The best part was towards the end, transitioning from the camera over the field to the airplane flying by to the truck. The music created stunningly perfect sound effects. The very end sucked though.

to :icntdrv that was the point. not allowed to name the dog Toto they changed it to Toby. it was in a way a tribute to The Wizard of Oz. Good Video btw.

Hey...anyone who's ever tried the Wiz of Oz with Dark Side of the Moon thing, has GOT to try this...found this album-movie-mashup of Dark Side of The Moon with 2001 A Space Odyssey...it's pretty cool. @DelilahThePig "Forget the sun" as the lamp is being lit, he'll never see the light of the sun again (don't bother with it, basically)

"You race towards an early grave" as if to say his death came earlier than it could have as he 'raced' to hold down their shelter door, which I think is awesome since it's the last sung line before dad's death.
