In order to calculate MPH without a speedometer, a person needs to simply divide his distance traveled by the time it took to travel that distance. Calculate miles per hour with help from the manager of a driving school in this free video on calculating driving speed.

  • @Jcpierc21 He meant a whole number dipshit...

  • haha you cant divide 100 by 3? what school did you go to?

  • Actually, had to do this, When I was driving a truck I just bought in NY, back to GA, the speedometer didn't work, and half the trip i had no traffic. So I just took a stopwatch (cellphone) and clicked between mile markers, and did the math. I figured if I can get a ticket via this method, I can use it to track my speed. Then Between gas stations, I kept track of the miles, and figured out my mpg's. I was very geeked, on using this "old" way of doing that.

  • if u get pulled over just tell them your speedometer broke its that simple

  • What is the point? Are you going to calculate ur speed this way to make sure that you are not going above a speed limit?
