Autobahn Germany, VW GOLF GTD Diesel 240 kph, Legal !

Autobahn Germany VW GOLF GTD 240 kph in a diesel getting 45mph. We use to live in Australia where if you go over 100kph they just about throw you in gaol ! the cops are mental revenue raisers that drive Mad Max look a like cars, what a joke ! and because its so slow in Aus that they have a baradge of keep awake signs along the motorways, and the reason there is so many accidents in Aus is because you are constantly looking at the speedo and not the road. we now live in the UK and have never been booked once as the cops are more interested in real criminals. oh and 1 more thing , we didn't see one accident the whole day of cruising at 200 kph legaly, funny that? On this vidoe I was looking in the my rear view mirror as there was a BMW up my clacker and road works came up pretty quick.

@madhunQ The Northern Territory got rid of open speed limits in 2007, now it's 130km/h, which is generous compared to other states in Oz but still a disappointment.

Australian Police make the brown shirts look reasonable. You won't get thrown in Jail for speeding, though if you were caught doing 200+k's in a 100 zone you'd be in for a good rogering. The Northern Territory used to have open speed limits, not sure if it still does.
