Family Ties, episode 18 part 2

Tess' POV: I knew that those plates were coming out of at least three of my measly paychecks, and I couldn't stop myself from bawling. This alone wouldn't have normally made me cry, I can handle public humiliation pretty well normally. But after the day I'd had, there was no stopping those tears.

Em+Ry+Lex+Chaz+Justin: *shocked silent*

Justin's POV: I couldn't believe this. I had never seen Tess cry before, never even imagined it possible. She was a strong girl, and to see her break down like this broke my heart. I hated seeing her like this. I knew that working here, it was going to take a lot of paychecks to pay the bill of all those plates, so I did the only thing that I knew would help me sleep tonight.

Justin: *gets up, takes out his wallet, stands in between Chet and Tess* Will this cover it? *holds out a few bills*

Chet: *Doesn't know what to say, staring at the bills that are well enough to cover the cost of the plates* Well, uh... Sir, you really don't need to... it was my clumsy waitress' fault--
Justin: Well, that "clumsy waitress" happens to be the most amazing girl I know. Will this cover the bill?
Tess: *looks up at Justin, completely shocked, still crying*
Chet: *speechless* Uh, well, um.
Justin: Sir?
Chet: *Looks at Tess, then back at Justin* Yes, it'll cover it. *takes the bills and walks away, pissed*
Justin: *helps Tess up from the floor and wipes her tears from her face* Do you need help cleaning up these plates?
Tess: *Doesn't know what to say* Justin... you.... you didn't have to...
Justin: I know, but I couldn't stand seeing you like that. You couldn't have paid for those, and I could have. So I did. No big deal.
Tess: No, it's a huge deal! That must have cost so much. I promise I'll pay you back.
Justin: No! Please, don't. Think of it as a gift.
Tess: Justin...
Justin: Tess. Don't mention it. Please. Do you need help with this?
Tess: *sighs, letting Justin get away with paying* Um, no, I'll... *turns around to see that Ryan, Chaz, Emalie, and Alexis have already cleaned up the shards of plates on the ground* You guys... *starts crying again but happy tears this time*
Everyone but Tess: *hugs Tess*
Alexis: We're here for you, honey.
Emalie: We all are.
Tess: Thank you guys. *hugs everyone back, then pulls away and faces Justin* Thank you so, so much. I am so, so grateful. I have to do something to pay you back.
Justin: I think a nice hug would suffice.
Tess; *smiles and hugs him so tight* Maybe you have changed, Justin.
Justin: *Smiles* Maybe I have.


Okay, you spoiled little brats, that's like five or six episodes in one night. You better love me for that, 'cause y'all know I love you. :)
