i think that the late Michael Lee (R.I.P)..captured Bonzo's (R.I.P) essence and feel for these songs more than any drummer these 2 ever played with ever since his death in '80....Jason is certainly a close 2nd to his dad, but i think Lee captured it more..and i'm not knocking Jason or his playing, because he is in fact , his father's son....still , Lee and Jason were and certainly are 2 superb drummers !

@tenoderaaridifolia alot of people dont know that bonzo was the real real guy behind led zeppelin

@rodentcafeteria I agree.I heard that when Jimmy recruited Robert,he was first planning to make a band sound like folk-rock.But when Robert introduced Bonzo and Jimmy heard him play, his mind was made up to make it hard rock band. Hammer of gods will live in our hearts forever.

You can see where Tom Morrello's riff style and the structure of the rage songs comes from, That stop start riff that revolves around the song was Jimmy Pages creation.... A true pioneer, their music will live forever

@Luukeeeehh People rarely give credit to the guy that played everything pretty well simultaneously John Paul Jones. What is special about Zeppelin is that they all play a huge part in the band on and off stage. That is why they are and always will be the best!
