This sensor is designed to locate inaccurately located joints. This tactile sensor relies on the end of the welding wire to make contact with the surface of the material. The system will then calculate the required offset so that the robot can weld the joint correctly. The seam finder uses 200V, which ensures that the system functions reliably even when the material is slightly contaminated and will not conduct electricity easily.
