The Sikh Youth of British Columbia are making another valiant effort to unite the Sikh community of the Lower mainland and move it past the petty politics that have plagued it for years. We are a group of progressive-minded Sikhs, excited to serve the Sikh community as elected representatives to the Guru Nanak Sikh Temples management committee. Our group consists of men and women, students and businessmen, professionals and entrepreneurs, all having a wide range of experience relating to, and working with the Sikh community. We genuinely desire to work towards the betterment of the community, and share a common focus and direction, centered on unity: We are all Sikhs!
With the Gurus blessings, it is the hope of the Sikh Youth Slate that the community will rally behind them to bring about the change that is needed to unite the community and work towards a brighter future. It is time to stand shoulder-to-shoulder as Sikhs whether we are amritdhari or non-amritdhari, whether we are kesdhari, or sehajdhari, whether we have been walking the Sikh path for decades or we are just taking our first baby steps the time is now. With your support, we will work tirelessly to create an open and inclusive environment, where the true Sikh spirit of universal brotherhood can shine.
I want a Gurudwara where whole family can get support. The Gurudwara which is interactive, not one Bhai Ji talking all the time in pind walli punjabi that we don't not understand.
