@Yellowknight888 shout, scream charge it back, put your arms above your head, if you have time, put an arrow in its nose, but this unlikely unless it's chargin at you from a great disatnce.

If a bear charges at you and you have your bow in hand, do you think you would have time to put the arrow in and aim, or should I abandon the bow and use a knife to defend?

@Leatherwoodoutdoors Thankyou for your reply. I am a 5' 8'' 165LB male medium build in my early 40's, i am seriously considering buying a recurve bow probably a cheaper Chinese made PSE recurve bow, the draw weight choices are 40-55LBS what draw weight should i get for my first starter bow ? Should i go the lightest weight ? The legal minimum to hunt deer is 40LBS pull or draw weight in my home state.

@Walter5734 I think you would be fine pulling back 45lbs on a recurve.

whare did you find the fred bear broedheads? and gret hunt!

@MsRatshooter I found out that satellite makes the broadhead now and the are not as good as they were when fred bear made them. You can find them on ebay now and them but you may have to pay a high $ for them.
