@kmiller9959 YEAH IT'S SO FUCKIN' DOOM!!!!

How did I not notice this piece of comedic gold before now?
Where to start....the random capitalization of HOLE? The redundancy of a piece of shit being shitty (as if shit can be anything else...)? Or that advice you gave me at the end? At least I think it's advice...I'm not really sure.
I'll guess I'll go live with myself now.

@kdjdhdbdb jajaja se corto el bigote
-
who is the drummer in this
-
You're right. I thought the lines were a little sharp for a Lakland, headstock too now that I take a closer look. Noticed the headstock initially but thought it was maybe an earlier edition. What do I know??? I'm a Rickenbacker guy & he says he hates those! LOL!
-
@SonicWarriorLives thats a vigier. not a lakland. he was playing vigier then.

It's a Lakland Bass. It's Geezer.

@clockworkmike83 I agree ! Tony Iommi is the most solid underrated guitar player of all time! Listen to all the cool parts in Wheels of Confusion and then the beautiful Laguna Sunrise.Brilliant! Also the recording production of 1970's rock was great . Metal/rock recording production got harsh and abrasive in the 1980's with to much mids and reverb and stiff noisy drums and too much over done speed guitar soloing

Birmingham, where it all started.

I THINK I READ SOMEWHERE THE DRUMS ON THIS SONG NEARLY KILLED BILL WARD....EPIC !!!
-
Yeah and I keep hearing that the best riff ever is "Smoke on the Water" or RS's "Satisfaction". Have these people never heard of Tony Iommi: Iron Man, Black Sabbath, Sweet Leaf, Conucopia, Heaven and Hell... Tony's the best!
-
I <3 the opening riff in this song, best riff ever!
-
@clockworkmike83 Vol 4 has always been my favorite. It has less blues based riffing and some of it has a sort of garage sound (in a good, raw way). This album seems to get overlooked in the midst of their other (also badass) early records. Iommi was on fuckin fire on Vol 4 though. Tons of riffs as usual. To me, he's like a one man "Lennon-McCartney" when it comes to guitar riffs.

Fuck all these micky mouse metal band today like avenge seven fags, and children of bordum you'd all be spinning pizzas if it wasn't for Sabbath
-
@mikexlong and to think that they made these albums over 30+ years ago blows my mind! Can remember the first time i heard Hand of Doom and i almost jizzed! SABBATH RULZ!
-
@dpeab11370 all in all i'd agree that those albums are just as heavy, if not heavier, but god damn, that break between wheels of confusion and the straightener has got to be the heaviest moment in music history!
the opening cornucopia and under the sun riffs are right up there too, along with into the void, sweet leaf, lord of this world, symptom of the universe, sabbath bloody sabbath, and really so many of their other songs :)
-
@kmiller9959 indeed. everytime i bump this track i get chills from that riffs
-
im so high
-
Why this and Under the Sun were not played more is beyond me
-
VOL. 4 ROCKS, but IMO Master of Reality and Sabotage are HEAVIER!
-
I was upstairs on the balcony part, directly opposite the band but behind some barriers, couldnt figure why the barriers where there but security wouldnt let us through. Two numbers from the end security let us through, only four of us standing there, realised then that it was the bands family and friends, couldnt believe it, unforgetable night. Is there any more of this performance about?
the opening riff is one of the heaviest riffs of all time. i wish tony would've used it more throughout the song.

That whole fucking Vol.4 album was the heaviest thing put on this earth. Everyone talks about how Sabbath invented metal, well yeah they did and Vol.4 was the blueprints. That whole album is just amazing.
