As a victim of district of columbia schools. Government is not omnipotent nor omniscient, I feel there needs to be a 100% privatization/charter school effort. These people can be as vociferious in their ebonics about funding but No Child Left Behind dropped tons of money inside public schools. You can give these children new books, but it doesnt mean they will learn especially if they go home and turn on BET. If their so concerned about advancement the public libraries are open 7 days a week.

The problem with the funding of DC schools is the same problem found in many, but not all school districts in the USA. Money is mishandled and abused by people at the top of the ladder in the educational funding system.
