Tour of the Glore Psychiatric Museum

I visited the amazing and disturbing Glore Psychiatric Museum on October 9, 2009. Here is a video clip of my visit... I hope you enjoy the tour!

The Glore Psychiatric Museum chronicles the 130-year history of what was once known as the State Lunatic Asylum No. 2. The Museum uses full-sized replicas, interactive displays, audio-visuals, artifacts, and documents to illustrate the history of the treatment of mental illness. The museum is recognized as one of the 50 most unusual Museums in the country. Looks as if the museum goes back to the dark ages with the one tied to a pole. The caged paitents was that from the early 1900's? Life was not easy for the mentally ill thank god they have better methods of medicine today.

This movie is awesome! I've been to the musuem twice. It was well worth the long car ride.
