I wish I'd seen this BEFORE I ran the marathon. Great tips! What an incredible experience this was.  I'm looking forward to doing my second marathon at WDW next year, and someday I'll do the Goofy, too!

@goarmy176: Since I was doing the Goofy, I believe Disney did some recalculations for those runners and I ended up at the very front of Corral B - I've been in A in the past.

@saxyblonde27 One year ago I was a nonrunner as well. As in zero. I started training in February 2011 and this month I came away from WDW with a marathon medal! I was more of a tortoise than a hare, but I made it! Check out the runDisney site and the link there to Jeff Galloway's videos.  He was my inspiration and I used his walk/run technique. Thank you to WDW for helping make a dream come true!

Congratulations to the great Brazilian champion Fredson Costa for winning it twice! Overcoming all of his difficulties to be the FIRST this year again!!! I hope one day I can run with you guys there.
