A film showing some of the aircraft on display at the Flying Leatherneck Historical Foundation's Museum, in San Diego, CA. Trivia about aircraft added to the sides, (filmed in the old full screen 4:3 mode).

The the museum web site is...

If you visit the museum, you will notice that next to each of the dozens of historic aircraft is a written placard with detailed info, including specs and history.

About the Museum............

Who? A dedicated curatorial staff and volunteers.

What? They are the only museum in the world dedicated to preserving the incredible contributions made by Marine Corps Avaitors and their ground support personnel. The outdoor portion contains dozens of vintage aircraft. The indoor area contains displays of artifact and memorabilia dating back to the earliest days of Marine Corps Aviation.

Where? T-4203 Anderson Avenue, in San Diego, CA. Easy to find, just off the I-15, 1.3 miles west on Miramar Road, just west of the north entrance to MCAS Miramar. Museum hours are Tuesday through Sunday 9:00 AM until 3:30 PM.

Again, you can link directly to their Web site here...

The YouTube channel "TJDOZIER1" belongs to the son of one of the founders of this museum. He also created FlyByNight Videos, a very cool web site.

  • Pretty nice that you included a little information, of each aircraft on the side there.

  • @Auggie56 I think this was the first film I uploaded immediately after YouTube converted to the 16:9 aspect ratio (from the original 4:3 full that they used), so this was a creative way to utilize the side spaces. Nowadays I know to only use the 16:9 on my cam settings - in fact I don't think my newest cam, which is a Panasonic HDC-SDT750 (with 3D) has the capability of 4:3 anymore.
