After learning a bit about turtles I think this could have been my little captive turtle's mother. Turtles don't usually roam far and I think this was a female. Hopefully she made it back this was after I drove her down the road. I will let the one I have go free when it warms up. He s a turtle and should have the chance to just go be a turtle in the woods :-)

I really don't know what this one is. I am a Dog man, not a turtle man. But...I will learn. I let this one go becuase he/she is really big and has more than a fighting chance at survival. Little guy Flash is a dfferent story. This little guy is abou the size of a walnut! There was no way he could make it on his own. If Flash lives I'll try to get him into a larger space eventually. I hate taking something from the wild only to hold it captive. The least I can do is make it decent for him/her.

Wow! He is big.
I have a red slider. She is not that big. She fits in a 20 gallon aquarium with lots of room to move around, swim and climb the rocks that I put in there.
