I just retured home from a two and a half week Canadian holiday. We took a one week New England & Canada Cruise and the other week and a half exploring a bit on our own, seeing some places that we didn't see on the cruise. Our second stop on the cruise was Halifax, Nova Scotia. The last part of our tour was the famous Halifax Citadel. We were fortunate enough to spend a little over an hour there to explore.
I visited the military museum and watched the changing of the guard at the top of the hour. It is a fascinating place and I recommend it. The citadel is alive with military personel partaking in everyday military duties.
The Royal Artillery was on the second level demonstrating the cannons as well as giving some information on them. They also had 1st year cadets training on the grounds as well as badpipers and 78th Highland Regiment soldiers standing patrol. You can visit them in their barracks and from time to time they perform firing demonstrations.

The Halifax Citadel now comes alive with reenactor staff. It was fun for me in summer 2010 on a visit ( I am a retired Seaforth Captain) to see them wearing replica 78th Highlanders uniforms. Luckily I was wearing my Seaforth windbreaker and on day two I wore my Seaforth Glengarry with my solid-sliver officers' cap badge - that definitely got some attention from the "soldiers" - Colin Stevens

Looks like you had a nice time - good photos!
The flag at 4:44 is an unusual variety of the Union Flag - really wide red diagonals, than normal.
