Those kinds of lamps remind me of being in old peoples' houses when I was a kid back in the early 80s...the left over ugly stuff from the 50s thru 70s. It kind of surprises me that this style goes all the way back to the 50s, but I inherited some of my grandmothers stuff, including a coffee warmer, a rug and a lamp, all in this style and they are all definitely from the 50s. They are HIDEOUS, but that's why I like them. Nice lamp!
