Node.JS Is Stupid And If You Use It So Are You

Node.js claims it is "a platform built on Chrome's JavaScript runtime for easily building fast, scalable network applications. Node.js uses an event-driven, non-blocking I/O model that makes it lightweight and efficient, perfect for data-intensive real-time applications that run across distributed devices."

But it does block, it doesn't scale and it sucks for data intense applications, and isn't optimized for realtime.

Depends what you want to do. Everyone keeps talking about Chat servers. Python Channels scale better and are more secure.

Node was developed as a Debug and Grease tool. It is good for that. Use your Air Ratchet for turning bolts, don't try to build a Pneumatic Car with it. Use a tool for what it was meant for. You don't drive nails with your soup ladle. And you don't serve Chili with your Hammer.

It's videos like these that really annoy me. With the ton of literature out there providing benchmarks that demonstrate nodes capabilities what proof do you have to the contrary besides saying that it isn't? I'd be quite happy to accept your arguments if they had any references/proof/structure. I just can't take you seriously.
