I loved barbados, its more fun if you meet locals and go to local things. like steel drum bands, parties and stuff. My dad is from barbados he lives on the sea.
the fairmont is great for service but yup it is quite boring, cause it's one of those hotels where they really don't allow kids and it's quite traditional and old timish. and it's not located in the slums u really want to see the slums. the fairmont is an elite hotel
My first time in Barbados was spent at this hotel. The hotel itself is boring and expensive but once you get out to the community it was wonderful and as for that "prick" who said something about ghetto go and suck your mother!
Looks like a nice place, but when I went to barbados I rented out a small cabin literally right on the water for 80 USD/night. I prefer it over a big hotel in the middle of the slum.
I stayed at this hotel in June 2007 for one week. I was schedule for a much longer stay. But I became very bored. The resort was nice, but they had nothing to offer. It was in the middle of nowhere and surrounded by ghettos...
Where in barbados did you rent the cabin and what is the website?

Do you have the names or websites of cabins that you would suggest.
