This wasn't a big hit in the USA but I vividly remember hearing it on the radio and really liking it. The harmonica, as well as "Ah, ah, ah!", remained firmly in my memory.
I saw a '60s German spy movie on TV in the early '70s and there was a scene in a sort of basement with girls in bondage, when the good guy broke in to save them. I think there was a discotheque in this building, which he had to run through initially, and this song was playing. But sung in German.
@Freyja1133 The Ikettes could tour as long as Ike was getting all their money. He paid them peanuts & fined them & the band if he didn't like anything (like being refused sex with him!). He had registered the Ikettes name so when 3 former Ikettes who were managed by Tina's sis tried to tour he got injunctions against them & got heavys to block theatres etc. The Mirettes were a way the girls got around this.

LOVE the Ikettes! Bonnie Bramlett was briefly one of them, in an afro wig wearing dark makeup.

I love anti Motown ...! Motown was too slick in the record production side.... and the acts were over rehearsed

Why didn't Ike Turner allow the Ikettes to tour?
I'm Curious

@RoyFive I agree with you, same riff and beat. Check out "In the midnight hour" by the Mirettes...I think it's even better than this one.
