Our new female spotted bengal kitten.
http://epetmeadow.com
Playing and chasing my 7 year old marble bengal boy.
She is just over 12 weeks old, arrived last night, and did not skip a beat. The breeder did great at socialization, she already runs the house. My bengal boy finally has someone to play chase with.

So I guess it just dependss on the kitten...

Both your cats look incredibly amazing.

  • @simonepreston20 If you have other cats, the safe thing to do is a quarantine room. The stress of leaving the breeder can bring up intestinal or respiratory problems that can spread to other cats. I knew better, but I had two cats destroying the door and balling their head off to see each other and I caved. I still did put this kitten in a room when I left for safety, amazing the trouble they can find!

  • She is so incredibly cute

Im suprised how playful she already was after only a short time home.

I will be getting my little bengal boy in February and im so excited.

Did you have to keep your bengal in a small room at the start or was she fine?

  • @simonepreston20 The kitten in this vid would have NOTHING to do with a small room, and neither would the adult bengal. The minute I came in they were crying to see each other. She was ultra confident and ran the show immediately. Downside, a few days later she had the sniffles/fever and so did all my other cats. My second kitten (from the same breeder), needed to be in a room for about 5 days. She was a little more overwhelmed by the new house so we took it slower.

  • @simonepreston20 Enjoy your new baby by the way. Kittens, especially bengals, are SO much fun!!!

  • They are so cute! Do they get along with dogs? I am thinking of getting a bengal

  • @boscoitalics Most young kittens raised around dogs do fine. Just make sure they have plenty of 'safe' spots away from the dogs (cat trees, maybe a baby gate the cat can jump over if need be) and you let the kitten get comfortable around the new home before introducing to other pets. The breeder I use raises the cats around her dogs, so they LOVE when dogs come over to visit.

  • too cute

  • Ha ha what a feisty fearless little girl! When I brought my cat a kitten the kitten was scared of him for about 3 days. They're best buds now though.

  • awesome! I have a bengal and anEgyptian Mau, beautiful cats! both of mine had no problems adjusting to new homes. good breeders work hard to socialise them.

  • <3 It's just like when we got our second bengal kitten. :)

  • I have always adored Bengals. I hope to one day get one. I currently have a Grey/White Tabby/Siamese mix; she has the markings of a tabby, but the long, slender body and the ears of a Siamese... She's 14 now, but still has the heart of a kitten. Watching the kitten chase/play with the balls is a very familiar sight. The antics are the same. Cats are beautiful creatures and I'm proud to have had mine as long as I have. I wish your kitties (and you) all the best. May they bring you much joy.
