hey guys... i used to have the same problem... try switching which foot you put forward... i start my petal kicks with my left foot forward. and then petal all the way around... that gives me enough punch to get up on stuff... or over stuff.... try starting to get up on a curb. after that you can try higher ledges. i can probably petal kick up onto a 2 foot ledge if i do it right now. and i just learned how to do this a few months ago... good luck!
