@Marshall7302 450HP@2250 RPM x that by 3 or 4 and thats what you will get it you put a gearbox on it... Also the torque is well over 1000ftlbs at the shaft.

Most of us junky old crop dusters have always refered to them as 985's or 450's.
Supported my family for many years, sitting behind these engines.

@Marshall7302 Back in the day, 1hp per 2 cu in was pretty damn good. Especiall for such a large engine.

Technically & correctly that is an after fire. Back fire is out the carb.

Yup! That's the Wasp Junior. It was fitted to smaller airplanes such as the DHC-2 Beaver. It's basically a smaller version of the original Wasp engine. They did build larger "double row" Wasps, which gave around 2500hp!
