銅鑼灣是香港著名消費娛樂熱點，也是潮流名店集散地。銅鑼灣舖租位列全球數一數二，擁有全球舖租第二貴的街道，但原來百多年前香港開埠時，銅鑼灣只是一個聚集勞苦大眾的碼­頭倉庫區，究竟她如何搖身一變成為名店林立的消費熱點？

隨著香港踏入商場化年代，時代廣場的出現令銅鑼灣的租金節節上揚，時代變遷令不少地標從銅鑼灣地平線上消失。利舞臺、大丸日資百貨可說是不少香港市民的集體回憶，今集節目­將回顧一下它們在銅鑼灣的故事。

被訪者包括﹕利德蕙(利希慎孫女)、丁新豹(歷史博物館前館長，居住銅鑼灣超過40年)、阮兆輝(粵劇名伶)等等。

The buildings along Paterson Street, Cleveland Street, Great George Street, Gloucester Road, are HK's very first private luxury residential complex, developped by Cheung Chuk Shan family back in 1955. Remember HK was still very poor at that time, a mere 10 years after the end of World War 2. The founding of HK Daimaru in Nov 1960 by that family has the aim to attract more residents to move to Causeway Bay!
