Kenyans are fantastic people in my view, they make the best with what little they have and it makes them hard working people, they are not blessed with the luxuries of the Western world, therefore they learn the value of hard work, they can't take much for granted and have to make there own luck

No they dont they run so fast because they run the natural way.. without thick Nike sole shoes, they usually run barefoot since they are kids so they have the perfect form and perfect running. look at a little kid without shoes running around his energy will be insane, put shoes on him and he'll get tired a lot faster. Thats what it is.

Miss, Toby Tanser has actively been following the Kenyan running scene for over 20 years and knows more about it than almost any of us. Just check out his blog at tanser.org and you'll see what I'm talking about!

Alright, you win... for now :) I won't debate on this since I've not done much research on this. I do promise you however, when I get my details right, i will prove you wrong.

Hi, in reply - yes I am in Kenya every year (since the 1990's) for about half the year. So, again, I challenge you to name One single athlete - can you? Right now you are making a statement and not backing it up with any fact. I am not judging anything, I was merely replying to your initial post, which according to Moses Kiptanui (if you know who he is) is completely wrong.

You don't see them holding Gatorade bottles. Sports drink is the biggest scam in history. Humans can function perfectly fine without sipping on sugary water every 5 seconds like a baby with a dummy. Our ancestors used to walk for 60 miles in burning sun to get to the nearest drinking well. Let's not train ourselves into dependency and addiction on something that we don't need.

I don't have to name any persons. Yes, you filmed it and most likely you don't even live in Kenya. So even if i name anybody, you won't know them. Kenya has very many athletes, unfortunately only a few can be sent to the olympics and other competitions around the globe. Next time you are in Kenya, visit the Mt. Kenya region or go to other places in the Great Rift, you will understand what i mean.

NB. Kenya is really big, don't judge it on a few runners!!

I filmed this; I can tell you that is 100% untrue. Please name one Kenyan prominent runner who comes from a "well up family" - one name.
