Had an awesome experience with 2 juvenile male monk seals at sea cave on monday. NOAA identified the seals as Kolohe and Buster, both first tagged at Rabbit Island.

Buster is the bigger, more shy of the two, Kolohe is smaller, super curious and has a white little spot behind his fin and a black box shaped spot on his back from an old transmitter.

First part of the video is from Palea Point, just a sweet dive. Hope you enjoy.
Aloha

  • huhuhu, poor freezing lake.

It was white balanced a bit deeper than we were at when the seals came by, so yea, it is a little red...:)
