The Fortress Location

Minutes away from the Historical city of Galle which attracts many tourists yearly,The Fortress is located along the Southern Coast of Sri Lanka. If you request for transfers, you will be warmly greeted at the Bandaranaike International airport in Katunayake by the hosts and escorted to the resort. You can either drive through the coastal belt and reach the resort or charter a domestic helicopter.
The Fortress Accommodation

Five uniquely styled guestrooms and residences are offered at The Fortress which comes from an inspiration of Dutch Fort design and each providing a modern twist to sensual living. Designed with private courtyards or balconies, these abodes offer views of the magnificent gardens and beaches.

Fortress Rooms - These rooms which add up to 11 and feature a super king sized bed covered with Egyptian cotton and an open plan bathroom with a rainfall shower and bath. These rooms open out to your own courtyard or garden balcony. Other facilities include air-conditioning, overhead fan, private bar, an entertainment system and designer fittings including a plasma screen, Bose DVD and sound systems, a daybed, in-room safe and IDD telephone facilities.

Ocean Rooms - Located on the upper floor of The Fortress and overlooking the magnificent ocean, these 18 rooms feature open plan bathrooms and high vaulted ceilings.

Beach Rooms - 12 rooms are located in the ground floor with views of the beach, ocean and the gardens. Facilities include open plan bathrooms with a large bath and a spilt level living area. The highlight of this unit would definitely be the jacuzzi where you can also enjoy a magnificent view while relaxing.

Ocean Lofts - Offering a one of a kind experience these split level rooms' boasts of unique designs in both floors. Entering into a living room which is well organized and an indoor plunge pool, you will find an inviting daybed, a plasma screen and a Bose DVD sound system. The upper floor includes the bedroom which showcases a designer bed which is covered with soft Egyptian cotton and also a daybed. The upstairs bathroom features a rainfall and wall shower. There are 6 ocean lofts at the hotel.
