Canon 50mm f1.4 Review

Hey all, I'm back! It's been a busy winter but now it's time to make some videos. Hope you enjoy this quick review I put together of the canon 50mm f1.4. Many more to come, and as always, if you have any questions just toss em in the comments below.

In my opinion, no camera bag is complete without a 50mm! I have a "nifty 50" that is great for night video! (Very cheap, though!)

@slyflight Very true, even though they have some flaws you just cant beat the charm and feel you get from images shot with them.

I have the 50mm f1.2 and I love it but the 1.4 is better value

@TheHolyFishyCracker I think it is cheap and plasticky compare to L lenses and especially Zeiss lenses which I like the metal build a lot. The image that EF 50 f/1.4 produces is pretty amazing, just wish it would have build quality of the Zeiss 50 f/1.4 ZE Plannar T :) If it would, I think it could have been the best selling lens of all the time.

@sammydemon666 I personally experience that at 50mm f/2.8, the EF 24-70 f/2.8L USM is about the same as the 50 f/1.4 USM

Canon 50mm f/1.8 DOES have a metal mount, the 50mm f/1.8 II DOESNT .. you needa correct that next time.

@skatepreme 60D way better for cinematography.... it has manual audio controls... the same sensor the 7D has and a better screen
