I will be incorporating this into my DJ set very soon. what's the best way to output to a big screen ? and how powerfull of a laptop do you need to run this ?

Such a shame that MD hasnt improved or seen more support. Its dead in developement at the moment. We need a modern update to this awesome app. As old as it is, it still blows the living hell out of anything in its field for live performance video mixing during. If there were an Open GL version in Unix that would be great! and it would prolly run much better as well. But mostly I still want a record option so we can get to posting our MD mixes.

I know that would work, but its too frustrating a process to have to go through. For one, I don't have a digital video camera. There should be a simpler way to record your screen on the PCs second monitor. I could presumably pre-perform my video/music mix and then play it back using the macro option in fullscreen on the main monitor.

have you tried hooking up the video out of the computer to a mini DV camera in VCR mode? and record it on Mini DV, then dump it on video editor of choice via firewire?

Any Idea how you can go about recording your video performances in Motion Dive in a digital format that's easy to upload? I tried video out to another monitor but can't find any program to record my second output monitor while working with the GUI on the main monitor. Only thing I can do is record on video output to VHS which is terrible and then try to reencode the VHS video which is just too aweful to contemplate
