Although I tend to like Tim Ryan, I pose this question. I remember the late 1970's and the questions about energy then! The Democrats were in control of the Congress from 1954-1994! Who was at fault then for not addressing alternative fuel derivitives along with the car industry that continued to make crappy cars with powerful union extortion controlled by you know whom? Q-Where was your Tip O'Neill D Party Mr Ryan? Answer-UNABLE TO GOVERN!

Problem is, as you are probably aware, the majority of people truely believe they are powerless and that the government is some powerful beast that they could not possibly understand/be involved in.
Also they dont care bacause they have entertainment, work, food etc
