Half a league, half a league,
Half a league onward,
All in the valley of Death
Rode the six hundred.

During the Crimean war(1853-1856) an English cavalry unit, the light brigade, charged a Russian artillery unit frontally. A military blunder that effectively destroyed the brigade for no gain at all. Despite this blunder, the charge became a symbol of heroism; of death defying bravery. The charge was the subject of books, movies and poems.

This moving picture sheds a light on some aspects of the charge and the cult of heroism in general.
It is an mixture of second life, real life, poetry and music that looks at the overlap between real life, second life, about the toys kids play with and enjoy so much and about that creature that up means so much to us humans........
geez: just watch the movie.

The music is: 'Not the same' by Pea sized.
The poem is from Lord Tennyson and he recites it himself on this ancient wax recording.
The movies are the charge of the light brigade(1968) and the black stallion (1979).
The prim army was made by me.
The footage was made at Chaos Cove.
