After experiencing hours of government bureaucracy at it's finest, we found a way to return the favor to the Department of Public Safety (DMV) with a little civil disobedience.

Apparently we need to clarify that this is not a personal attack on the employees of the agency for those who comment with collectivist-style ignorance. Keep in mind, though, that the employees do bear responsibility for enforcing absurd and often arbitrary policies. It would be a great start if they offered an inkling of respect for the time wasted of the citizens they "serve."

This short documentary will make Ron Paul fans proud.

  • I didn't see this video as a way to get back at all. I saw this video as someone holding up a mirror reflecting the face of bureaucracy

hmm..wondering if there is a way to get 10,000 pennies.

  • I am very proud of you two for making this video and standing up for this. The DMV (BMV) is the epitome of why this country isn't a democracy. This bureau has taken advantage of me these past two years and have caused me much grief. It has infringed on my right of freedom as an individual (because private transportation is a necessity despite what the DMV says about it being a priviledge). I need to drive for college and work. You're awesome. I'm surprised the Gov. hasn't removed this btw.

  • No offense, but you two were just adding more bureaucracy to the already existent one. More of the same, let's say. I understand that one can get upset sometimes, but I think it would be more useful to ask to talk to the director of that service. Cheers

  • Wow!

  • Its because of idiots like you, that bureaucracy seems like a bad idea. In the time that it took your dumb asses to count that money, some other person could have been helped. The DMV has a website that tells you what documents you need to bring with you, its standard procedure by now. Amongst other things, its the most effective way to keep records so that when idiots like you lose important documents, you wont have to start over again by taking the drivers test....

  • @TheDt19 Lets be honest here, true Libertarianism is something no one wants. That would require going back to something more basic than the articles of confederation, which clearly didn't and won't work in today's society.

  • @jeneenicole So people who can't afford police protection just don't get it? Rich people get much better protection because they can afford more? (I am aware that rich people can get security, that isn't what this conversation is about) Homeless people don't get protection? Some months you may have to go without the police to get by paying your bills? I could go on and on about how that is hilariously divorced from the real world. The Libertarianism comment was partially a joke, but...

  • @jeneenicole You have absolutely no basis for that assertion at all. According to this line of thought anyone who gets paid privately immediately is a better worker than anyone who is paid by the government. For that matter, people who are paid salary are inherently worse workers than those who are paid hourly. This is a ridiculous argument to stand by for obvious reasons. Also, considering that I have refrained from much condescension, perhaps you could attempt to do the same?

  • @jeneenicole Which wasn't a complaint about the state of the industry, it was a commentary on your argument which was built on silly logic.

  • @TheDt19 Shame on me for not noticing earlier! You're just wasting my time. Public funding ensures their wages even if they do a poor job. direct funding from satisfied customers ensures FAR MORE responsiveness to the public's will. As it stands, laws are arbitrarily enforced at their discretion which continually violate individual rights and constitutionally guaranteed freedoms.the Constitution has by and large been trampled & the majority exerts their will even when they are wrong. Good day!
