  • Sorry, but this is an old school. Please look at David Russel thumb. If you pull in that manner your sound will be powerful and beautiful

  • Nails are great...mine are weak. Some of them show cracking ,,,what can I do? I love classical guitar....crossed over from acoustic. having a hard time keeping the nails in shape. I love to play but short nails have a time limit daily. been thinking about.."Instant Nails?" Trying..."Hard as Nails" coating...so far not bad..kinda feels like a bandaid. I don't like the GLOSS LOOK at all. My guitar friends smile at me now.:(

  • @brian1321 Short nails that are filed and trimmed is what the Pros use. Be sure to use fine sand paper for your nails.

  • Great. Thank you!

  • I hear long nails on the hand you strum/stroke with is better than shorter nails.

I personally hate that because it looks disgusting but a lot of people prefer that.

  • You would get a better tone with P if you shortened the thumb nail and used some P-tip in the stroke. Do a search for kent musrdick classical guitar to see my videos.
