@tspencerforhire sorry but totaly disagree with you if you put a 2yr old in just a seat belt and then got hit that kid would be thrown out of the car thank god for laws hopefuly for your childs sake you follow the law and keep her safe in a car seat

In austrilia we have very differant car seats we use the seat belt path as well as the teather strap the anchors on the back of ur car our seats look alot safer then some of the ones i have seen on here but i love watching and all that gr8 guys

You don't have to agree with me, but check out the economics book called Freakonomics part 2. There is a chapter dedicated to the statistical analysis of all car crashes in the US. They look at all car crashes and fatalities for 2 year olds and older with and without seatbelts. They found that in both cases, the fatalities and injuries were equal. However, the car seat manufacturers and lobby would like us to believe differently.

Too much lecturing. I need to know step by step how to run the belts on my peg perego. Also check out the chapter on car seats in the 2nd installment of "Freakonomics". Car seats are basically a racket founded on fear mongering. Statistics show that an expensive car seat is not any more effective than using a seat belt for kids age 2 or older. I agree that car seat is important before age 2 but after age is BS that was forced on us by paranoid parents and lobbyists.

you would have less problems and less work with getting this properly installed is if you actually locked the seat belt (Which NEEDS to be done any way) before clicking it in. If the seat belt is not locked no matter how "tight" you got it, it's still not safe in an accident.

i had the same problem, just get a jumbo pool noodle and put it under the gap behind the lip on the bottom of the car seat, not under the lip as shown here. Also if you put your knee in the seat you can get a tighter install then their way. With the combo of these two I have like .25" of movement if any at all. Let me know if you need more help. Mine was safety checked by police and is fine.

hey, you guys are using the same carseat as we are, but ours even with the pool noodle and the rocking technique doesn't sit level and wiggles 2-3 inches, and if i tighten the belts any more it sits sidewayswith the slope of the shoulder belt... any idea what i'm doing wrong? i did it just as you showed, and engagind the alm and everything, made sure the belts wern't twisted and i think i'm gonna throw this thing in a furnace cause i hate it
